Paso Robles Children's Museum

This past weekend Cole, Kinley and I made the long drive to Auntie Ashley and Uncle Justice's house to visit the Paso Robles Children's Museum. We had a blast and enjoyed the time that we were able to spend with Avery and Rudy.
We started the early morning off by playing with Uncle Justice and eating Auntie Ashley's yummy waffles (Cole's favorite)!

This weekend we had a going away party for our cousin Geoff, who is going  to college in Arizona!!! Over the next four (or more) years he will be studying Anthropology. We celebrated with a good ol' BBQ and pool party! We hope that this is the BEST time of his life, as he ventures out on his own to learn new and exciting things!!!

Summer Fun

Ok, this is my first official blogging experience!!!:) Stephen has handed over the reigns of our neglected blog and I am now in charge of keeping everyone updated. I have enjoyed keeping up with my friends and their kids, so I thought that I should do the same. Our summer has been very busy and filled with a lot of "firsts" for Cole and Kinley
Cole is now completely potty trained...no pull-ups or accidents!!!! YIPEE!!! He is also riding a bike, learning how to swim, and sleeping in his own bed. What a big boy!!!!!
Kinley is also sleeping in her crib and is almost making it through the night. She can roll over, sit up, and smile on command!! We love watching her grow!!!
We have the cutest angles and I cannot wait to share pictures!!!

Good Afternoon

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am at home busy, working on my schooling on this wonderful weekend. I am officially at Foothill Middle School now teaching 6th grade. It looks like it is going to be a wonderful experience so we will see what God has in store!
Hayley and I are trying to make it till summer. I have two more weeks of battling school and my actual schooling. After the beginning of June, I will be able to take the kids and relieve Hayley a bit. Things are picking up for her now with the weather beginning to warm.
Anyways, I thought I would say a quick hello. I haven't been able to update the blog very much so it looks like Hayley is going to be taking it over very soon. (Maybe then you will get more updates!)
I hope you all are doing well. We look forward to trying to see our friends and family this summer!

Update!

Oh what a year! Boy this last couple of months has gone by extremely fast. May changes have occured so I thought I would update the blog to keep anyone interested informed. The kids are doing great. Both seem to be healthy and full of plenty of energy. Kinley is growing like crazy and is close to rolling over already! (Girls are faster than boys) She is also very alert and tries to talk when you pay attention to her. (If I can catch it on video, I will blog it!) Cole is amazing Hayley and I every day. His vocabulary is growing exponetially and every day we are cracking up at what he pays attention to. The job situation has all been resolved. I was able to get a job at the middle school here in our town. This means going back to school (Classes start May 4th) to complete another credentail. The good news is that I have a job and it should work perfect with our long term plans. For right now, we are focused on the summer. Hayley will continue to get busier because summer means construction. I am trying to get everything set up to be able to take care of the kids this summer and let Hayley have somewhat of a life!
All in all things are great! The Lord has blessed us more than can be imagined. He is working on my patience continually as we try to trust him during this process. We look forward to seeing you all soon!

I Better Update Before I Loose Ya!!

Hello Everyone,

As usual, things are very busy around here. I am currently on Spring Break and Hayley and I have been working non stop on many projects.  We remodeled our dinning room and turned it into a den. It has been a fun project.
Things are going good overall. Kinley is doing well and Cole has finally come to grips with the fact that she IS sticking around. It has been nice to hang out with both of them this week during my time off.
Hayley is busy as usual. She is taking care of the kids and trying to keep things running for her dad. It has pretty much been a challenge of getting the kids to bed and then trying to get everything done before they wake up. Cole is such a computer freak she can't get anything done that involves a computer!
My job situation is still up in the air. As I stated before, I have been pink slipped for next year. I have been looking at a variety of positions in other districts and here at Sierra Unified. As of now, I am waiting till mid April for a decision from our board. At this time, I may be offered a position teaching Special Ed at the Middle School. It will be a change for me but I think it will also be a great experience for me and will help me meet some of my career goals. (This means I will be going back to school!!!)
All in all, things are going good. I know I have not changed the pictures much on the blog. Hayley and I are planning on doing that by the end of this break. Virtually every room in our house has been moved around and changed. We haven't had time to take a lot of pictures because my camera has been buried much of the time. We are planning on taking Kinley's announcement pictures this weekend and sending them out.  At that time, I should have some new pictures to post.
Hope you are all doing well. We miss you all!!

Doing Well

Good Morning Everyone,

I was going to give a short update. Kinley is doing much better now. It was a rough last week but things are good. I have had the week off this week for what the locals have called "ski week." It is officially part of our winter break. Anyways, I will check with you soon. I am loading pictures right now!

Update!!

          Good Afternoon Everyone,
It has been a very rough week this week. It is my intention to update the blog more often than I have been able to. (I want to do a min of once a week.) This last week has been crazy. Hayley injured her back last Sunday making life with two kids very hard. She has had a hard time getting around, not to mention taking care of Cole. In the meantime, Kinley has an ear infection and very bad congestion. (Yes at three weeks old!) This has made the entire week one big blur to us.
In addition to this I received my official notice saying that my school district doesn't plan to hire me again this year. Our district is in a state of declining enrollment and along with the state budget, the district in financial difficulty. Me and 8 other buddies are looking for jobs for next year. Needless to say, it has been quite stressful.
I hope you are all doing well. Our family is in prayer knowing that God's hand is in all of this and He is in complete control. I hope you all are resting in the peace that the Lord provides and all doing well. I am going to post some pictures during this next week. Hayley and I hope to take Kinley's announcement photo and get those out soon!

          Take care and God Bless!!

Cole's Favorite Place

This is a quick movie of Cole before his cousin's birthday. He LOVES "Pump It Up" and had been talking about it all week!! I thought you all would want to see that Cole is still the coolest kid on the block!!

Good Morning All!

Well, if you read the time at the end of this blog you can tell I have a new baby. Kinley and Hayley are still doing great. Kinley has been sleeping well overall during the last week. Tonight, we have been up quite a bit so I thought I would blog. We took Kinley to the doctor on Wednesday. She has a touch of Jaundice but the Dr. said all is fine. Cole was reassuring Kinley that Dr. Jones is not as bad as he is cracked up to be!

Cole is still adjusting to not being the only child. He definitely sees that Kinley is getting a lot of attention. Thankfully, he has been hanging out with dad quite a bit and having fun. He is making quite a few attempts at attention but, overall, he is doing quite well.

Getting use to home

Good afternoon everyone. I think I may finally have a chance to write a bit and give you more pictures. We have now been home almost two days. Kinley has had her first bath and is getting use to life out of the womb. Cole is curious and not quite sure if he really wants to keep her or not. Life will never be the same!! These last two days have been great but tiring.  We are trying to soak up rest whenever we get a chance.

I never really told you all about the actual birth. This time went very well. We checked into the hospital around 6 am Friday morning. By 9 am we had everything going and the pitosin (spelling) going. Hayley slowly worked her way to about a 4 by about 3 in the afternoon. The good thing was, the epidural was given early and was working beautifully! At 5 in the evening, they told us she was to a 6. Then BOOM!!!, She went from a 6 to actually delivering at 5:50p.m. The only time that Hayley really felt major pain was from 5:15 till the baby. During this time, the epidural was wearing off and by the time they came to give her more, she was ready to push. Kinley only took a total of 6 pushes and she was here!! (The first two were not whole-hearted according to Dr. Mason who by the way is the best Dr. we have EVER worked with.) Hayley barely ever broke a sweat and was in great spirits the entire time!
Check out the slide show on the top of the page! I will try to add more and more pictures as I get the chance.

She Is Here!!

We had her!! Kinley arrived tonight at about 5:50p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 0z and was 20.5 inches long. Hayley's delivery went very well. She is feeling great and after a good epidural, she was in pain for less than an hour!  Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this delivery. God has answered many prayers tonight!! Both of them are feeling great! We are tired and will write more as we get a chance. I will have pictures up first thing in the morning!

Progress

Hayley is doing good. The epidural is working well!! As of now, Hayley is dilated at 4. We are hoping for a baby around 8 this evening.

No Baby Yet

Hello Everyone,

It is the 16th and no baby yet. It looks like we are going to be waiting for the doctor to induce on Friday morning. As of now, we plan on going in early in the morning and HOPEFULLY having a baby shortly after! Check back for an update!!
