Good Morning All!

Well, if you read the time at the end of this blog you can tell I have a new baby. Kinley and Hayley are still doing great. Kinley has been sleeping well overall during the last week. Tonight, we have been up quite a bit so I thought I would blog. We took Kinley to the doctor on Wednesday. She has a touch of Jaundice but the Dr. said all is fine. Cole was reassuring Kinley that Dr. Jones is not as bad as he is cracked up to be!

Cole is still adjusting to not being the only child. He definitely sees that Kinley is getting a lot of attention. Thankfully, he has been hanging out with dad quite a bit and having fun. He is making quite a few attempts at attention but, overall, he is doing quite well.

Getting use to home

Good afternoon everyone. I think I may finally have a chance to write a bit and give you more pictures. We have now been home almost two days. Kinley has had her first bath and is getting use to life out of the womb. Cole is curious and not quite sure if he really wants to keep her or not. Life will never be the same!! These last two days have been great but tiring.  We are trying to soak up rest whenever we get a chance.

I never really told you all about the actual birth. This time went very well. We checked into the hospital around 6 am Friday morning. By 9 am we had everything going and the pitosin (spelling) going. Hayley slowly worked her way to about a 4 by about 3 in the afternoon. The good thing was, the epidural was given early and was working beautifully! At 5 in the evening, they told us she was to a 6. Then BOOM!!!, She went from a 6 to actually delivering at 5:50p.m. The only time that Hayley really felt major pain was from 5:15 till the baby. During this time, the epidural was wearing off and by the time they came to give her more, she was ready to push. Kinley only took a total of 6 pushes and she was here!! (The first two were not whole-hearted according to Dr. Mason who by the way is the best Dr. we have EVER worked with.) Hayley barely ever broke a sweat and was in great spirits the entire time!
Check out the slide show on the top of the page! I will try to add more and more pictures as I get the chance.

She Is Here!!

We had her!! Kinley arrived tonight at about 5:50p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 0z and was 20.5 inches long. Hayley's delivery went very well. She is feeling great and after a good epidural, she was in pain for less than an hour!  Thank you to everyone who has prayed for this delivery. God has answered many prayers tonight!! Both of them are feeling great! We are tired and will write more as we get a chance. I will have pictures up first thing in the morning!

Progress

Hayley is doing good. The epidural is working well!! As of now, Hayley is dilated at 4. We are hoping for a baby around 8 this evening.
